Hello freshers and non-freshers alike,

After seeing such a great turn out at the Fresher Welcome last Friday, we
would like to extend an invitation to all members (but once again,
freshers in particular) to the Fresher LAN this weekend.

UCC Fresher LAN
Saturday, 9th March, 4:00pm - Sunday, 10th March, 10:00am
Cameron Hall Loft (Above UCC Clubroom)

After making friends at the Fresher Welcome, come back next week for the
first LAN of semester. LANs are your best chance to play against other
UCCans at the games of your choice, but there is usually a game of WolfET,
TF2 or Age of Empires II. The Minecraft server will be up as well for
those so inclined. We highly recommend bringing your own computer as
usable clubroom machines will be very limited. Please bring a
non-surge-protected powerboard for your computer as well. Keep in mind
that this will be running all night so prepare your bodies.

LANs are FREE for members, but friends are most welcome (at an additional
cost of $5 or so).

RSVP to lan at ucc.asn.au.

We would also like to encourage as many members as possible to attend the AGM, details below.

UCC Annual General Meeting
Tuesday, 12th March, 1:00pm (Common lunch hour)
Guild Council Meeting Room (We will migrate from the UCC Clubroom a few
minutes beforehand so go there before the meeting to get directions)

The AGM is the meeting at which the new UCC committee will be elected for
2013. The only way to be represented is to attend. At the AGM you can run
for, and vote for, the various committee positions.

Freshers are especially encouraged to go as one of you will be elected as
Fresher Representative for 2013! This will be based on a few short
introductions of all freshers who attend the meeting. You are only
eligible to be on committee if you attend the AGM.

We hope to see you at both of these events.
