You might be able to get a freebie from ITS if you're nice to Marie.
Thing is, they've got access to the Bright link too and part of the
motivation for it was to provide non-UWA-specific groups - eg the
University Club for Events! - with access to unmetered internet.
You realise though that the bright link at UCC is actually pretty
shit and I don't think you've given any information about how big
this conference is, how many attendees are popping by, how many
would be interested in internet, what you think they'd be up to
(are they leechers? are they browsers? will they expect super-fast
access to their email? etc), and all that guff.
And you still haven't mentioned anything at all about technical support.
Will you provide 100% of the technical support, and who at UCC will be
around to help you when you can't solve the issue? :)
