Just thinking aloud before the meeting on a few of the points. See inline.
Other thing not on this list is the clubroom move (if it does happen
in this budget year, if at all). How much that costs depends on the
space we get allocated, how its designed, how much the Guild would
give us etc. etc. etc.

>> Budgeting
>> ---------
>> - Could be done on a spreadsheet using the projector
>> - Current account balances
>> - Income over last year
>> - Expected income in coming year
>> - Expenses in coming year
We only have one fixed expense which is the phone. $22/mth for
that. Everything else is discretionary.
>> - How much do we want to keep in reserve or add to our investments?
>> - The five above items tell us how much we can spend (can we work most of
>> this out before the meeting?)
>> - What do we want to spend money on? Some ideas:
>> - Heathred upgrade
At a guesstimate with Zanchey this will cost $1,000
>> - Events
Really depends how many we have (which depends on the committee
we get to a large degree).
O'Day: $100-$200 upfront (keeping in mind O'Day claims which
should help bring that down)
Fresher Welcome: $200 (can't cost any more than that for free pizza surely)
LANs: $300 for a big one, $150 for a small one (again, if there's
no prizes given out there's really no cost to the club)
UCCcamp: $2,500 (with the cheaper venue and kitchen facilities I
don't see it costing more than this - rather over estimate on this one
though so there's no surprises)
>> - Chairs
Depends on the quality we go for, supplier etc (UWA have some
deals iirc) - lets say $50/each times 10?
>> - Couches
Again, depends on quality, supplier etc - $1,500 for two new
couches (2 and 3 seater)
>> - Coffee table
$100
>> - Tools
$500 pool (still requires approval, but lets set it aside now)
>> - Software
Dunno what software we need, prices vary wildly so hard to put a
value on this.
>> - A couple of clubroom machines
$1,500 each seems a fair amount (though we'd look for donations)
