Dear Guild Events,
We are planning to run a number of weekly events in our clubroom and due
to the noise situation in Cameron Hall it can be extremely difficult to
run events in the clubroom when there are other people using the shared
spaces. As such we have found the only way to have any reasonable degree
of control over the noise levels is to book out the Loft during such
events so that we may ask people to leave should they disrupt our
clubroom events.
Specifically we want to run a series of "tech talks" and educational
computing workshops on Tuesday evenings, and movie nights (in
collaboration with UniSFA, also in Cameron Hall) on Wednesday evenings.
If there is a limitation on the number of hours which we may book the
space, please prioritise the Tuesday evening bookings.
Would it be possible create a number of recurring bookings for the
Cameron Hall Loft as follows:
* Weekly, on Tuesday evenings (5pm until 8pm) from the Tuesday 19th
March to Tuesday 30th April
* Weekly, on Wednesday evenings (6:30pm until 9pm) from Wednesday 6th
March to Wednesday 1st May
In addition to this, we are also planning to run a weekly "vive night"
event in the Loft where we will set up our virtual reality headset
upstairs next to the UCC clubroom, on Thursday evenings. Would it be
possible to confirm (or create, if necessary) a weekly booking Thursday
evenings from the 7th March to the 2nd May (4pm to 10pm)?
As mentioned, the bookings corresponding to our in-clubroom events are
purely for noise management and as such we will not prevent people from
using the space for quiet activities. Thank you for your understanding
in this matter.
Best regards,
Felix von Perger
