UCC's DMM is now working happily. There where a couple of problems:
*) One of the test leads was open circuit. I have got some replacement leads.
*) The build quality of the DMM leaves a little to be desired. I have
waved my soldering iron and some solder over some sus joints on the
	PCB.
*) The rotary switch was full of crap. Have cleaned the PCB and the contacts
	that form the switch.
*) The battery was on it's way out. It now has a nice new shiny battery.

So, all in all, very succesful. The fixes have involved retail therapy,
solvent (ab)use and inhailing nasty smoke. I am happy now.

See Ya
Simon
